What Markloom 1.0 includes

From the product and App Store materials. Processing stays on your Mac.

01

Open Markdown or PDF

File → Open accepts Markdown (.md, .markdown), PDF, or a .markloom project. A PDF is processed locally.

02

PDFKit + Vision OCR

Text PDFs use PDFKit. Scanned pages use Apple Vision OCR. Parsing runs in an embedded sandboxed XPC service.

03

Source provenance

04

Markdown source editor

Version 1.0 edits Markdown source, with Preview, Edit, and Outline views. It is not a rich-text or WYSIWYG editor.

05

Publish locally

Export Markdown, HTML, paginated PDF, or DOCX using Standard or Reading presets. Open a typeset HTML preview in your browser.

06

.markloom projects

07

No account, no network service
