DoseBell Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 27, 2026

DoseBell is a local-first medication reminder and confirmation-recording app. Core reminders, history, backup, and the widget work without an account. DoseBell does not provide medical advice, sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Data kept on your device

Medication names, strength, schedules, dose records, notification preferences, action history, and backup data are stored in the app container or its Apple App Group on your device. Local notifications are scheduled through iOS. A backup is shared with another app or location only when you explicitly export it.

Optional Apple account

Caregiver Connect uses Sign in with Apple through Supabase. We receive the Supabase user identifier and the account information Apple makes available according to your Apple settings. An account is not required for local reminders.

Caregiver Connect

If you enable Caregiver Connect, Supabase stores care profiles, memberships, invitations, and privacy-minimized confirmation records. A confirmation record contains an opaque occurrence identifier, profile identifier, scheduled and deadline timestamps, confirmation status, revision number, and—when present—the confirmation timestamp. Medication name, strength, dose, diagnosis, instructions, notes, local schedule identifiers, and local medication identifiers are not included in that upload.

Profile owners can invite and revoke caregivers. Caregivers can leave a profile. Access is enforced by account membership. Local reminders continue to work if the network or Caregiver Connect is unavailable.

Push notifications

OneSignal delivers optional Caregiver Connect alerts. It receives the Supabase user UUID as an external delivery identifier plus a generic care-alert payload. DoseBell does not put medication or diagnosis details in OneSignal payloads, tags, aliases, or application logs. Apple Push Notification service and OneSignal process delivery information under their own privacy terms.

Purchases

Apple processes payments. RevenueCat helps DoseBell determine whether DoseBell Pro is active and restore purchases across supported devices. Purchase product identifiers, entitlement status, app user identifiers, transaction information, and technical information needed to provide that service may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat. DoseBell does not receive your full payment-card number.

Diagnostics and tracking

DoseBell does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. The app does not intentionally upload medication content in diagnostics. iOS and service providers may retain operational and security logs needed to run their services.

Control, deletion, and retention

You can revoke a caregiver, leave a profile, sign out, or delete the connected account from the app. Connected-account deletion removes the Supabase account and its care profiles, memberships, invitations, synced confirmation states, and care alerts, subject to service backups and legal or security retention. Local medication records and reminders remain on the device until you delete them or remove the app and its data. Revoking or leaving stops future access but does not control copies another person previously exported or recorded.

Children

DoseBell is not directed to children. A parent or guardian should supervise any child’s medication plan and use of the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date and, when required, the App Store privacy disclosures or the app itself.
